ART OF WORDS Poets' Open Mic In-Person
This popular monthly event, co-hosted by Tamell "Big" Bailey and CathyB, is a great opportunity for adults and young adults to practice performance skills in front of a small audience, receive feedback, and get inspiration for creating new works. Except for the featured artist, individual performances are limited to 3 minutes and may be on any “radio friendly” topic. If time allows, additional performances may be invited.

Featured Poet
Christopher O'Neal Blackmon, professionally known as Chrisso, is an artist, performer, producer, and motivator from Lancaster, SC. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and is recognized for his work in spoken word poetry, photography, and music.
Chrisso is a member of the Tribe Slam Team, ranked the number one slam poetry team in the state and number 15 in the nation. He is also the author of the book of poetry called Trial & Error: The Autobiography of the Trying Poet. Follow him on Instagram @chrisso_livepoetry for his latest work and performances.
