Dementia Myths - Presented by the South Carolina Department on Aging In-Person
Explores common misconceptions about dementia and replaces them with current, factual information. This helps to minimize stigma and provides residents of South Carolina with the tools and knowledge to advocate for themselves and their family members.
This presentation will be given by Shaneka Brown, an Orangeburg native. She works for the South Carolina Department on Aging as the Dementia Care Specialist/ Program Coordinator I for the Lower Savannah Region which includes Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, Bamberg, Calhoun, Orangeburg counties.
