Makey Makey Networking Challenge: Students explore the fundamentals of computer networking through a hands-on STEM activity using Makey Makey invention kits. Working in teams, participants will transform everyday conductive materials into interactive network components, learning how devices communicate, how signals travel, and how collaboration is essential in designing reliable networks. Through problem-solving, experimentation, and iterative design, students gained a practical understanding of networking concepts such as inputs and outputs, connectivity, data transmission, and troubleshooting while strengthening their creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. This engaging activity demonstrated that computer networking extends beyond cables and computers, highlighting the importance of innovation and engineering in connecting the digital world. For grades K - 5.
